Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or equivalent, with Ontario College of Teachers
(OCT) certification (or relevant provincial/territorial certification).
• Qualifications in Physical Education.
• A major or minor in physical education at the undergraduate level.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a
team in delivering a quality program.
• A dynamic, student-centered educator who brings energy and creativity to the
classroom.
• A strong commitment to culturally relevant and responsive teaching practices.
• An understanding of the unique strengths and challenges of Indigenous learners.
• Willingness to participate in community events and school initiatives beyond the
classroom.
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (required).
• Ability to speak Cree-Ojibway or Oji-Cree is an asset
